Volunteers Describe Their Experience at Angels Garden Dog Shelter

For one week, Veronica and Mary from Germany became part of the Angels Garden Xanthi family.
What they experienced here is something they will never forget.

In this interview, they speak openly about the reality stray dogs face every single day — the loneliness, the struggle to survive, and the desperate need for love, safety, and a home.

But they also speak about hope.

They describe how easy it was to imagine these dogs not on the streets, but instead lying safely on a couch in Germany, surrounded by warmth, comfort, and people who love them. Because that is exactly what these dogs deserve.

One message was especially important to both of them:

It does not matter in which country these dogs are living.
A dog suffering on the streets in Greece suffers no differently than a dog anywhere else in the world.

These dogs urgently need homes.
They need people willing to adopt, foster, support, or simply help spread awareness.

And if adoption is not possible, there are still many ways to help:
Donate. Foster. Share their stories. Talk about them. Help their voices be heard.

Every share can reach the one person who changes a dog’s life forever.

Please help us spread this message as far as possible.
Not tomorrow. Now.

Because somewhere tonight, another stray dog will fall asleep alone, hungry, frightened, and forgotten — while dreaming of a home it may never know.
