Laila’s world changed overnight when her elderly owner had to move into a nursing home. Sadly, no other family members were willing to keep her, so she came into our shelter, where she is now waiting for a second chance. Laila is a gentle, quiet soul with a calm and low-key personality. She is a little shy and takes her time to trust new people, but with patience and kindness she slowly opens her heart. Although she is not completely comfortable yet, she truly longs for human companionship and enjoys being close to people she feels safe with. She is friendly and peaceful with other dogs and walks beautifully on a leash. One of her greatest joys is going for walks, where she can quietly explore the world by your side. Laila is looking for a patient and loving family who will give her the time she needs to feel secure and loved again. In return, she will become a loyal and devoted companion, grateful for the chance to finally call a place her home.
