Galini
GOOD WITH DOGS: YES
GOOD WITH CATS: UNSURE
GOOD WITH CHILDREN: YES
HEALTH:
Dirofilaria - ehrlichia
Galini was found wandering alone, sick, painfully thin and completely exhausted. She was taken straight to the vet for the necessary examinations and treatment, and then she came to our shelter, where she could finally begin to recover.
A few months later, Galini is a completely different dog. She has gained weight, received the treatment she needed, and is now feeling stronger, healthier and, most importantly, safe.
She is sociable with people and other dogs, and despite her age, she sometimes has so much energy that she even wants to play with them like a puppy! Of course, she also enjoys the quieter moments, resting peacefully in her favourite corner.
We don’t know what Galini has been through or how she spent all those years before finding her way to us. But we do know that, here, she seems to have left so much of her difficult past behind. Today, she can enjoy the simple things every dog deserves: good food, safety, companionship and the freedom to simply be a dog.
We know that finding a home for a senior dog like Galini may not be easy. Older dogs are so often overlooked in favour of puppies and younger companions. But every animal deserves a chance, no matter their age or what their past may have been.
Galini has already overcome so much. She needs someone willing to open their heart to an older girl and show her that she can be loved, cherished and safe for the rest of her days.
